People who stay active report less health problems than people who live a mostly sedatary life.
2. Quit smoking or drinking alcohol to excess. Obviously, smoking is a major contributor to health problems, not to mention it’s an expensive and dirty habit, and when you quit smoking, you will add years onto your life. Drinking to excesses is also bad for your health, although studies have shown it’s ok and sometimes good for your health to have a drink a day. Anything more tends to become bad for your health.
3. Laugh! It seems simple, but laughter is a natural remedy that can trigger emotions in the body that promote wellness. So laugh hard, and laugh often.
4. Try to cut down on stress. This is not always easy to do, but if you can eliminate just one cause of great stress in your life, you will begin to feel the difference in your emotional wellbeing.
5. Eat better. Everyone knows that fast food is bad for your health. If you still love fast food, just cut down the amounts of times you eat it. Try to incorporate more heathy foods like fruits and vegetables into your diet, and you will begin to reap the rewards of a healthier body.
These are just a few of the things you can do to help create a better lifestyle for yourself. You don’t have to completely change your way of life to have a healthier lifestyle, but if you do just a few of these things, you will begin to feel a sense of wellness you many not have felt before.
